New Factory

Mapco Group have commissioned and started work on a brand new, state of the art factory to complement their existing facilities. The new plant will be the largest dehumidification facility in Scotland. (See story in Buchan Observer)
Our new factory is currently being built at Gerries Yard, in the Peterhead harbour , and will replace our old facility there. We will be able to process and dry up to a capacity of 200 tonnes of fish per week in a new and purpose built 24,000 square feet/2230 square metre building. We have our own Ozone System and both Open and Closed Loop drying facilities which allow us to dehydrate an incredibly wide range of natural foodstuffs to the most demanding EU standards.
The new plant will increase drying capacity considerably. It includes a state of the art Research and Development function and the build is due to be completed in 2014.
