Mapco Foundation established

The vision for Mapco Group is to be more than a successful trading business. The Group have just established the Mapco Foundation, a charitable trust working with the less well off in Africa. By helping Africans establish self-sustaining businesses the Foundation hopes to help build communities and lives.
In establishing the Mapco Foundation we are taking practical help one step further. It’s difficult to stand by and do nothing when you see other human beings struggle to make a life. In some small way we hope to work with local African people and to help them to help themselves.
Charities Aid Foundation
The Foundation has just affiliated with the Charities Aid Foundation, the UK’s leading not for profit supplier of strategic advice and assistance with charitable giving. They will help us structure our charitable giving tax-effectively and provide us with useful advice as we move forwards. CAF will oversee our charitable giving and are seen as highly credible.
Why work with the CAF?
The CAF have very high standards. They are the largest not for profit organisation offering this service in the UK. The Charities Aid Foundation currently work with 45,000 charities, 280,000 donors, 7,000 companies and work Internationally.
In their own words, CAF is an international UK registered charity. Its mission is to motivate society to give ever more effectively, and help transform lives and communities around the world. It advises on and distributes charitable funds around the world and has offices in nine countries: the UK, America, Brazil, Russia, India, Australia, Singapore, Southern Africa and Bulgaria.
Mapco has provided substantial added value to our local fishing industry by procuring and processing fish by-products for export. As such their contribution to the local fisheries sector has been substantial, and their finished food product provides an affordable source of protein for export to developing nations.”
